I first met Jiali years ago when he worked in the lab across from mine at the UW. Since then, I knew that he was someone special. Once, we went hiking with a group of friends and I remember watching him stop every few feet to take pictures. He LOVED taking pictures! Pictures of scenery, flowers, people, even rocks. He truly appreciated everything and everyone that was around him. I was lucky to have someone like Jiali in my life and he will be missed immensely.
